About FiltersDex
FiltersDex is an independent reference that answers one question well: what filter actually fits your exact refrigerator, and what is it really certified to remove? Today that covers 39 filters across 6,579 fridge models.
Why we built it
Filter fitment and NSF certification claims are scattered across manufacturer PDFs, retailer listings, and NSF's own certified-product listings, and they often disagree or go out of date. We assemble that information in one place, check it against the underlying NSF listing, and show our work, so you get a single honest answer instead of marketing copy.
How we verify
We build each filter's NSF claims from NSF's own certified product listings - the same source a manufacturer's own certification traces back to - and cross- reference fridge model compatibility against retailer application data. We never invent a certification a filter has not actually earned. Read the full method.
Independent by design
We are a reference, not a filter store. The spec comes first; the "where to buy" links are optional and never change the answer. We earn a small affiliate commission when you buy through some links, disclosed at every link and at no extra cost to you. How we make money.
