Frequently asked

How do I find the replacement filters for my water system?

Browse by system type (reverse osmosis, under-sink, or whole-house) or by brand below, then pick your exact model. Each page lists every filter stage, what it's NSF-certified to remove where independently listed, and the cheaper aftermarket equivalent.

Why do some systems show no NSF certification?

Some brands (APEC, Aquasana, Culligan, Frizzlife, Waterdrop, and others) aren't listed in the NSF Drinking Water Treatment Units (DWTU) database for every model - that doesn't necessarily mean they don't filter well, only that we can't independently verify a specific reduction claim for them. Some of these brands certify through WQA or their own in-house testing instead. We only show a contaminant as 'removed' when it's backed by an NSF DWTU listing.

What's the difference between reverse osmosis, under-sink, and whole-house systems?

Reverse osmosis (RO) systems force water through a semipermeable membrane and typically deliver the broadest contaminant reduction. Under-sink systems filter (without RO) at a single faucet. Whole-house systems treat all the water entering the home, usually for chlorine, sediment, or scale rather than the fine contaminant list an RO system targets.
